Per tal de contextualitzar la festa els xiquetes i les xiquetes van vindre vestits de castanyers i castanyeres. Durant tot el mat\u00ed van gaudir d&#8217;aquesta festivitat amb diferents activitats i amb la sorpresa de la castanyera que relat\u00e0 un conte per als xiquets. Durant la festa, la castanyera ven castanyes pels carrers de la ciutat. Porta un cistell ple de castanyes que ha recollit al bosc i les torra al torrador.
